Homage to Karl Blossfeldt
Karl Blossfeldt shows an incredible beauty and poetry in his detailled black and white photographs that he took for the mere love for the plants. Actually, at his life-time, Karl Blossfeldt was not a photographer, but an art teacher. The big pictures served him as samples for drawing lessons, and the unique forms as examples and inspirations for design studies. Karl Blossfeldt's photographes reduce the flowers and plants to their form, depriving them of their colours and parfums. But the so shown poetry of forms, symmetry and textures inspired me to paint them in giving them back immaginary colours.
